Interest Survey -

help us plan the rest of 2024 and let us know your specific areas of interest with this quick survey by April 15th!

Can you take 3 minutes to fill out our survey? It will help us know how you want to engage and what projects we should take on as a group this year! Whether you only have time to follow along via our newsletter, want to lead initiatives such a street art project, spread the word about leaf mulching, or another idea you're passionate about, please let us know! And remember, getting more involved helps us, our community, and may even help you live a longer life!

April - Breakfast and Community Clean Up

Many of you mentioned connection and community service as a key reason to be part of FCF. April 20th is the spring community clean up in Falls Church.
Meet us for coffee and breakfast at Northside Social at 9 am Saturday, April 20th and then we'll head over to the Community Center for the clean up from 10 am to 12 pm.

May - Join or Die Screening

Our spring FCF meeting will be Sunday, May 5th at 2pm for the Falls Church screening of Join or Die, a documentary by our very own Pete Davis, about why you should join a club (ahem, like Falls Church Forward!) at Meridian High School. Mark your calendars-- this is a must see!
---------
June - Solstice S'Mores

Save the date - we're planning a fun social event on the evening of Friday, June 21st to celebrate the summer solstice with S'Mores in Cherry Hill Park. More details to come.

City Business You Should Know About

FY25 Budget - budget season is underway in Falls Church! Budgets should reflect the priorities of the community, so this is one of the most important times of the year to pay attention and offer your input. You can read the budget or the summaries online and/or attend a meeting. There are multiple public hearings and town halls to voice your input over the next 6 weeks before the City Council adopts the budget on May 13th.
Bike Master Plan - the City's Bike Master Plan update is also underway. There have been a series of community meetings about the priority routes and options for dedicated bike lanes vs sharrows. These streets are the priority routes identified as key for bike connectivity: E. Broad, N. West, S. West, Great Falls, or Park Ave. Later this spring, there will be more neighborhood-specific engagement, but in the meantime - you can share your thoughts by emailing City staff.
