Falls Church Forward:
Who we are
Andrea (avocado) is a lifelong Falls Church City resident and co-founder of Falls Church Forward. Her journey into civic engagement began in 2014 with a simple traffic calming request, which led to a role on the Citizens Advisory Committee on Transportation and now the Planning Commission. She is committed to making Falls Church a welcoming, accessible city for people of all ages and backgrounds. Andrea believes streets and public spaces should put people first — whether you’re 9 or 90, you should feel safe walking, biking, and getting around the Little City.
Naudy (Mirabel) joined Falls Church Forward in early 2024 to meet new people and learn about local volunteer opportunities. She is a lifelong DMV resident, an urban planning enthusiast, and is energized by being in service to her community. She moved to Falls Church with her family in 2023 and looks forward to continuing to connect with neighbors across the city.
Letty (gorilla) co-founded Falls Church Forward to cultivate the next generation of leaders to be the progressive "yes" voice in the room. She's a professional overthinker, part-time workaholic, and full-time snack enthusiast. She has lived in the Little City for over 20 years, feeling so fortunate to raise her boys as the 3rd generation of Hardis in Falls Church and aspires for that to be a possibility for everyone. As she moonlights as mayor of Falls Church, you can find her holding office hours around town, on a never-ending quest for the perfect cup of coffee.
Ross (angry bird) is currently the Chair of the Falls Church City Economic Development Authority. He’s the father of three daughters, a backyard chicken enthusiast, an aspiring oyster farmer and loves coaching and playing lacrosse. He joined FCF to promote civic engagement, and help find and support others who are willing to step up as the next generation of community leaders in Falls Church City. Prior to joining Falls Church Forward he served on City Council from 2018-2021 and spent a year on the City’s Board of Zoning Appeals.
Justine (leaf) is slightly obsessed with people-first places and community building—so much so that she’s spent the past several years organizing events with Falls Church Forward and creating a YouTube channel to highlight the importance of urban design. Now serving on City Council, she’s committed to making Falls Church a more vibrant, walkable, and connected community. You can spot her biking around town or practicing circus arts in her backyard.
Pat (banana) joined Falls Church Forward driven by his passion for biking, walkable communities, and diverse housing options. A city resident since 2016, he wanted to get involved in shaping a more livable community with friends and neighbors. A former bus driver in years past and still keen on public transit, he enjoys biking to school with his son, indulging his insatiable sweet tooth, and has big plans to start a vegetable garden.
