Food Tour and a Halloween Parade Ride!

Hello! 

Happy October-- we have a lot of exciting events to celebrate getting outside this Fall:

 

Sunday Oct 22 1-4pm

Food + Biking + You! We are testing a FCC food tours concept-- we've partnered with 5 different restaurants who will provide small bites to try around the city. Taste some new dishes AND enjoy some biking paths around Falls Church. This trip will take us from the
West End to Eden Center and back to downtown. $32 tickets and limited space available-- RSVP here.

 

Saturday Oct 28 4:30pm (rain date: Sunday Oct 29 4:30pm)

Join us (adults, kids and kid-adults) as we dress up in our Halloween costumes and parade down the streets! Bring your bike, scooter, roller blades, other two-wheelers, or walking shoes. We'll have pumpkins, pictures and prizes at the end for the most creative, adorable, scary and unexpected costumes. RSVP here.

 

It was great seeing such a strong turnout for the Housing Affordability and Diversity event in September. For those who couldn't make it, here are Alex Horowitz's slides and the Housing Commission's info sheet. There is still a space open on the city's Housing Commission (preference will be given to a renter) and other boards and commissions.

  Welcoming Falls Church

We are partnering with Welcoming Falls Church on a few initiatives:

 

We're looking for a Program Coordinator for The Adult & Family Literacy Center-- it's a vital role to keep the center up and running. Please pass along the info to anyone you think might be interested.

 

And save the date for our next official meeting on Sunday December 3rd, focused on our Welcoming Pillar-- we're excited to coordinate with Welcoming Falls Church on the event!
