🏡 👨‍👩‍👦 Housing for All: Virginia Village, Give Public Comment, Tuesday, May 26th, 7:30 pm, City Hall

The City of Falls Church is exploring whether reinvestment or redevelopment of the City owned Virginia Village properties could create modern, safe, affordable homes for current and future residents. This is an opportunity that would support housing options within the city so that neighbors of all ages, incomes, and family sizes can live, work, learn, return, and retire here. Please share your thoughts on Virginia Village with the city council, as it's important to have a good representation of views across the city (including both homeowners and renters). To create a welcoming culture, we must build a community co-created by and for everybody.

Find out more about Virginia Village here and check out this FAQ on how to give public comment or send in comments in writing for the May 26th City Council meeting.

👩‍🌾🛒 Farmers Market Expansion — Sign the Petition! We’re just 61 signatures away from our goal of 400!

We love the Falls Church Farmers Market. We think it deserves more room. We're asking the city to pilot a Saturday morning street closure on Park Ave or Little Falls Street so the market can grow — more prepared food, community gathering space, kids' activities, and music. Alexandria, Mosaic District, and Westover in Arlington already close streets for their markets every week. Sign the petition and share it with your neighbors!

Cheers,

Naudy, Pat, Evan, Andrea, Ross, Letty and Justine
