Dave Matthews, Expensive Sinks and Memorial Day

Dave Matthews, Expensive Sinks and Memorial Day

Hello!

It was great seeing so many of you at the cookout and parade yesterday! We had some hardcore people make it to the very end of the parade, downpour and all. For all of you that made it through the gauntlet of rain, you get extra brownie points for the day :)
For those of you who couldn’t make it, check out the pictures below (the last one is my favorite-- it shows how wet we got)!

Make sure to mark your calendar for June 11th at 4pm— we’re hosting our next event focused on community business at Harvey’s. We'll hear from a range of business owners in the city! Hope to see you all soon.

Upcoming events

  • Friday, June 2: Join Ross Litkenhous (and maybe some more of us 😆) at State Theatre for the Dave Matthews Tribute Band THIS FRIDAY! Look for Ross at Clare & Don’s starting at 6:30pm. He will be wearing his best 1990s chinos.
  • Sunday, June 11: Join us at 4pm at Harvey’s to hear firsthand from local business owners about what it takes to open and run a business here, and why they chose the Little City. Our goal is to find ways to improve policies and processes that enable future businesses to successfully open and operate here (and discover the story behind the most expensive sink in Falls Church). Co-sponsored with the Falls Church Chamber of Commerce. RSVP here.
  • ☀️This summer☀️: Stay tuned for details on our lentil party. Lentils are an unexpected powerhouse missing from the standard American diet. Not only are they packed with protein and iron, they also help combat climate change! We are hoping to have a special guest with some serious lentil knowledge… 🫘💪

Memorial Day Parade

It started out dry and then the skies opened up… I don’t think I’ve ever been so drenched 😆 Certainly a day I’ll remember for the rest of my life! Here are a few pics-- check out more here (I'll add more pics over the coming days).
