Final gathering, FCF Swag and 2025 plans

Hello!

A BIG thank you to everyone who joined our Leave the Leaves campaign this fall (over 80 of you!), and to everyone who helped make our Halloween costume ride a reality.

 

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we're thankful for this growing group of 450+ members and look forward to moving Falls Church forward together in 2025!

As we approach the end of the year we have a few quick updates:

 

  Next hangout: Sunday Dec 15th 2-4pm

Mark your calendars for our last gathering of the year! Just like last year we'll celebrate at Clare and Don's and wrap presents.

We've partnered with Homestretch to adopt a family for the holidays. Help us collect gifts for a young mom, as she tries to get permanent housing for her and her 3 year old son.

Have you ever wanted to walk around town in a Falls Church Forward t-shirt? Well now you can!

Check out our long and short sleeve tees, tote bag and sweater, and show your support around town!

 

Mardi Gras parade-- want to celebrate community and bring people together for a fun parade? We're exploring ideas for next year or future years. Let us know if you'd like to be part of a group to make this project a reality!

 

Civics Bootcamp-- we're planning to host an event where people can learn about how to run for office, join local government, and navigate city information. Send us a message if you'd like to help us get people more engaged civically!

 

Walking food tour, scavenger hunt, farmers market tabling for a topic of your choosing, advocacy, or some other event? We're going to pick a few projects to work on in 2025, so let us know if you'd like to get more involved in the community and start something fun!
