Hello!
Hope you all had restful holidays and a good start to the New Year.
We're now getting back into the swing of things-- here's are the key things happening this month:
Accessory Dwellings
Learn more about backyard cottages and give feedback on options to expand our zoning code to allow them in Falls Church. There are two upcoming community sessions: Sunday January 12th 10am-12pm and Tuesday January 14th 6-8pm at the Mary Riley Styles Library. It's essential for staff to hear from a broad base of community members-- so even if you haven't spoken up at a city meeting before, now is a great time to chime in on expanding housing options in the city! Your input is essential to help shape the city.
If you can't make it to those meetings, you can send an email to the City Clerk with your thoughts (by 1/21), or speak in person at the Planning Commission meeting on Wednesday 1/22 at 7:30pm.
Happy Hour Video Premiere
Sunday January 26th at 4pm, RSVP for location
Join us for the special sneak preview of Justine's next video about housing and the environment, with a Q&A discussion to follow. We'll then continue the conversations over drinks nearby. Check out this video on streets and this video on housing to get a sense of what to expect.
Feel free to bring a friend or two, or anyone who is FCF-curious :) We're looking forward to starting 2025 with more friendly faces in the community!
We'll continue with regular social events and keep up annual traditions like Halloween Parade, service activities and more throughout the year.
Hope to see you soon!
