Vote, Pride Painting, & Happy Hour

Hello Falls Church Forward - 

It was great to see all the civic action across Falls Church and the US this weekend! Locally, the third time's a charm and many hands painted a beautiful new crosswalk at the Eden Center, just before yesterday's rain. Thank you to all of the volunteers and City staff who helped make this possible. If you missed out, the City Hall rainbow crosswalk project has been rescheduled to next Sunday (see below for details).

Vote, Virginia 2025 Primary - June 17, 6 am-7 pm

Besides protests and community projects, one of the best ways to make your voice heard is at the ballot box. And tomorrow is election day in Virginia! It's the Democratic primary for Attorney General (AG) and Lieutenant Governor (LG), but Virginia has open primaries so anyone can vote regardless of your affiliation. We found these to be helpful summaries of the  LG candidates and the AG candidates, including their positions on issues like housing that we care about locally.   Polls are open 6 am-7 pm, at your regular polling places.  You can also check out this helpful resource on why primaries are important: Voting in a Primary Election: An Explainer.

🌈 Crosswalk painting - Call for Volunteers - June 22, 8 am

We need adults and kids to help refresh the rainbow crosswalks at the City Hall campus on Sunday, June 22 at 8 am in celebration of Pride Month. Reply if you'd like to join us.

🥂 Supporting Community Businesses - "Restaurant Takeover" - June 24, 5 pm @ Pop Up District (Eden Center)

We're so excited to welcome the city's first food hall so here's your chance to check it out with us. We'll meet for general member happy hour so come meet friends, make new ones, grab a drink/dinner/dessert and a chance to hear from the owners about their concept.
